Rural Business Centre (RBC):

Establishment of Rural Business Centre is an effort to extend the outreach of financial services to the un-banked/underserved/areas and people; the program aims to extend financing facilities, services to the farmers and mobilizing deposits in rural areas. Viewed as a big step towards poverty alleviation, SBP has also been motivating the banks to take part in achieving this much desired goal. We, at Dawood Islamic Bank Limited (DIBL) have been thinking of a way to play an active part in not only providing the banking services to the rural areas of Pakistan but also to offer a convenient one-stop shop for agro and community services.

The success of the idea lies in proper assessment of the banking and other needs of the rural population and then offering custom-made products and services to cater for their needs. We have been successful in bringing on board some government as well as private sector organizations and Agro based Companies. Currently we are operating the first RBC besides our Iqbalabad rural branch, Dist. Rahim Yar Khan where various products and services of leading brands in the trade of agriculture are made available through their local dealers for the facilitation services to the local community.
