Al-Mustaqeem Card – your ATM & Debit Card in one!


Al-Mustaqeem as an ATM Card

  • Al-Mustaqeem Card may be used at any Dawood Islamic Bank ATM or any 1-Link or MNET ATM all over the country. You can withdraw up to Rs. 25,000 per day depending on the balance available in your account(s) linked with your Al-Mustaqeem Card.
  • You may also perform a host of transactions including getting a mini-statement or balance information. Al-Mustaqeem Card provides you all these facilities and much more.
  • As mentioned above, Al-Mustaqeem Card may be used at any ATM of any 1-Link or MNET member bank in Pakistan. A service charge will be deducted if you use the ATM of any other bank.

How do I receive my ATM Personal Identification Number (PIN)?


For your security, your ATM PIN will be mailed to you separate from your card. This secret number ensures that no one but you has access to your funds. It must be secured at all times. Please memorize your PIN number and destroy the PIN mailer afterwards. You may change your PIN using any DIBL ATM. You are encouraged not to write down your PIN anywhere.

 

How do I activate my Al-Mustaqeem Card when I get it?


When you collect your Al-Mustaqeem Card from your branch, the card is disabled by default, for your security. To activate it for use, please contact our Call Center at 0800-00343, where our phone-banking officer will be happy to help you.


How do I use a 24/7 ATM?


When at any Dawood Islamic Bank ATM please use the interactive and easy to understand instructions appearing on the screen of the ATM to guide you. If you have any concerns, please feel free to pick up the phone located adjacent to the ATM and speak to a phone-banking officer by dialing 2525. Process may differ slightly when using other banks’ ATMs.


What happens if I forget to collect my Al-Mustaqeem Card or Cash from the ATM?


In order to provide added security, our ATMs are programmed to capture the card if the customer forgets to take it back after a transaction within 10 seconds. Similarly, if you forget to take the cash within 15 seconds, the machine will take it back. If this occurs, please contact the Branch staff of the branch where you may be or alternatively, pick up the phone located at the ATM and speak to a phone-banking officer.


How do I change my Personal Identification Number (PIN)?


The option of changing your ATM PIN is available in the Main Menu on the ATM screen. When changing your PIN, you will be asked to key in your existing PIN once. You would then enter your new PIN twice to ensure that you did not make a mistake while entering your new PIN. Your ATM PIN can only be changed at Dawood Islamic Bank’s ATMs.


What if the ATM is Out of Service?


In the unlikely event that a particular ATM is out of service, a message to this effect would be indicated on the screen. Various factors could cause this condition, which include telecommunication problems, hardware breakdowns, power shutdowns, etc. If you encounter an out of service ATM, please proceed to the nearest available ATM for service or call the Call Center at 0800-00343 (or at 2525, if you are using ATM phone in a Dawood Islamic ATM booth).


What should I do in case my Al-Mustaqeem Card is lost or stolen?


In  case you lose your Al-Mustaqeem Card or it is stolen, immediately notify your branch or call our Call Center at 0800-00343. Incase you forgot your ATM/Debit Card somewhere and you know you will get it back you can also block your card temporarily


How many transactions can I avail in a day?


You can do any number of transactions to withdraw your available day limit. withdraw a maximum amount of PKR 25,000 in one day. The limits apply to Dawood Islamic Bank ATMs and withdrawal from member banks’ ATMs shall be subject to their assigned limits. In case of a Joint Account Holding, withdrawal limits are card based and, thereby, each joint account holder shall have separate per day limits of PKR 25,000/-


Can I use my Al-Mustaqeem Card at any other ATM besides Dawood Islamic Bank?


Yes. You may use Al-Mustaqeem Card at all ATMs displaying the 1-Link or MNET logo, across Pakistan. Please note that transactions on other banks’ ATMs will carry service charges.


Al-Mustaqeem as a Debit Card?


Al-Mustaqeem is also a Debit Card. You can make purchases or dine at any outlet that displays the MNET logo, which means you can have access to cash-free spending countrywide.

 


Making a payment is easy!

  • To make a payment, present your Al-Mustaqeem Card to the cashier.
  • The cashier will swipe the Card across the MNET POS machine and the purchase amount will be entered.
  • After verification, the machine will issue a slip.

Confirm your transaction amount, collect your Al-Mustaqeem Card and sign the merchant’s copy of the slip.

  • The transaction is complete and the money will be debited from your account.

(Note: Make sure merchant enter purchase amount only ONCE)


What is the difference between a Debit Card and a Credit Card?


A Debit Card means that the money you spend is simply deducted directly from your account, and there are no repayments, interest charges, or monthly billings. While with a Credit Card you charge your purchases to the Bank and make payments later, which can involve interest charges on late payments. Alhamdulillah! Your Al-Mustaqeem ATM/Debit Card is clean from RIBA!


How do I get Al-Mustaqeem ATM/Debit Card?


You can get Al-Mustaqeem ATM/Debit card if you have an account with Dawood Islamic Bank. Supplementary cards can be supplied to joint holders of an account depending on the terms and conditions of the account.

 

Helpful Hints
PIN Forgotten: Please memorize your PIN. Never write it down anywhere. You may change your PIN through any DIBL ATM .
Damaged Card: Keep your card carefully so that it does not get damaged or distorted.
Captured Card: To avoid your card (or cash) from being captured, please ensure that you remove it from the ATM slot within 10 second.
Incorrect Amount/No Payment: If the ATM does not dispense the correct amount of money or does not dispense the money at all, please contact the branch where you are using the ATM or your home branch, or call the Call Center at 0800-00343 immediately.
ATM Receipts: It is advisable to retain your ATM receipts after every transaction to guard against fraud and make record keeping easier.
Bill Payment: At merchandising outlets, make sure that your ATM/Debit card is swiped only ONCE, in your presence, and on an MNET machine.
